# Group & Gang Rules

{% hint style="info" %}
**NOTICE:** This document is meant to outline the group system that brings higher quality role play to Legendary. This system is subject to changes, so check regularly.
{% endhint %}

### Group system

Being a group at LegendaryRP requires good roleplay and understanding of the criminal underworld. To become a group, you need to apply and if accepted you will be granted access and abilities different from regular criminals. This is to further enhance and improve roleplay interactions as a criminal.

At LegendaryRP there is not a defined group type and everyone is free to roleplay with their own story, origin and approach, within the scope of what is acceptable with regard to rules and guidelines.

To apply for a whitelisted group, you need to have a minimum of 4 members.

### Whitelisted Group Information

Only 10 Whitelisted Groups (Considering both Fully Whitelisted and Trial Groups) may exist at a given time. If at the cap, groups may be on hold until spots open up.

Any whitelisted group member is permitted to run and control processes BUT is limited to controlling one process at a time.

{% hint style="info" %}
*E.g. A group can run and control the cocaine process, but cannot control the gun computer as well and can be subject to GM punishment if seen.*&#x200B;
{% endhint %}

### Group rules

Being an official group also means you need to adhere to an extra set of rules.

(5.1) Gang activity is limited to 6 members of any combination of whitelisted members whenever participating in criminal activity. Rule 4.4 and 5.2 are in effect. Gangs are allowed up to 8 members only to defend against PD Raids.

(5.2) As previously mentioned, the alliances are meant to be strictly economic and do not allow for a defensive pact.

(5.3) Whitelisted Clothing can be used by anyone as long as it was obtained in Roleplay.

(5.4) When engaging in a gang war and the police show up, your primary focus should be disengaging and escaping. To reiterate, 4.3 is still in effect and only allows 6 members in total to engage in criminal activities against other parties, such as the cops.

(5.5) You are not allowed to be a member of more than one gang on any given character.

(5.6) You are only allowed to have 3 vehicles per group in any car fights, Bikes do not apply in this cap. You may not bring back up cars/steal other cars to use in the car fight.

(5.7) If a proper roleplay route is available in a given scenario, it should always be prioritized. Everyone is expected to prioritize roleplay as opposed to immediate gunplay.

(5.8) Must be a 30 minute minimum before harming the same person(s) or engaging in other criminal roleplay targeting towards a person.

### Trial Whitelisted Groups and Fully Whitelisted Groups

Newly approved groups will be considered 'Probationary groups'. They will remain in their probationary period for 1 month, after which they will be required to submit a full whitelist request to their group managers via their respective group chat, explaining the reasons as to why they wish to continue into a fully whitelisted group.

\
If your request to proceed into a fully whitelisted group is denied, your group's whitelist will be removed and the group will be disbanded. There is then a 30-day waiting period before you can apply.

* If GMs are confident in the groups ability to roleplay, the whitelist letter will be accepted
* If GMs believe the group could use more time before making an accurate judgment, the letter could be postponed a month to give a trial group more time to RP
* If a group’s full whitelist letter is declined, the groups whitelist is removed and they cannot re-apply for a minimum of two weeks

Groups may only voluntarily disband if the majority of the group vote on it (led by the group managers). In order for the group to stay, there must be a new leader, the vote pass in favor of them, and they must hold at least 4 extra members. Group Managers will always use their discretion and this may change at any time.

Groups are also not allowed to rebrand/reconstruct the name and/or RP of the group during any part of their whitelisting. If a group wishes to rebrand, they will have to re-apply under a new whitelist.

#### Conditions to be Added to a Whitelisted Roster For members to be added to the whitelisted roster, they must satisfy the following conditions:

* The required playtime will vary depending on a player's total time spent within the server. If they do not have 7 days server playtime (across multiple characters), it will required 3 days (72 hours) of character playtime to be added to a roster. If they have more than 7 days server playtime, it will only require 2 days (48 hours) character playtime to be added to a roster.
* Player that are freshly unbanned via a ban appeal will have to wait a full 7 days after the ban wave to be added to a whitelist roster
* Group Managers also have the ability to decline roster additions for any reason they see fit.<br>

### Strike System:

\
Group Managers will use a strike system to manage groups who are consistently breaking server rules. Below is a system of how the strike system works.

* If a gang member, no matter how many, is deemed to be breaking rules during gang activity, they are subject to a gang strike. On top of this as well, any members who broke the rule are subject to individual staff punishment as well. Members who broke the rule will also earn a strike toward a whitelist blacklist. If a member is at fault for three different gang strikes, they will be blacklisted and may appeal on the forums.
* A gang strike may only be removed if the Gang Leader appeals the strike through the Group Manager Appeal. The strike will be voided but still noted down for staff's sake when it comes to looking at a groups history. A strike may only be appealed if it is 60 days after the initial strike was applied and is voted on by the Group Manager team. This can only be appealed by the group leader
* Any malicious use of a gang discord or severe rule breaks in the gang discord will result in an immediate disbandment of the group
* Groups can obtain a maximum of three gang strikes before being voted on by Group Managers whether they continue as a Whitelisted group or not.
* Groups who are force disbanded by Group Managers may not be allowed to join another whitelisted group for 30 days. They may be able to re-apply as a whitelisted group after 30 days.

### Group Wars

\
There is now a four phase system we use to determine group beef potentially escalating into a group war. A short version of the system can be seen below, but refer to the document listed for a full in depth explanation of the war system

1. **Starting Conflict**
   1. Two groups can only beef/fight up to three times and must proceed to war if they wish to fight further.
2. **Confirmation**
   1. Whomever initiated the first fight will need to let GMs know of their intentions including the reason, prize, and length. Groups may be forced to participate in a war if Group Managers deem it as such. There are also no OOC terms to be added during a war and must be decided purely among yourselves. Staff will not enforce any terms.
   2. Group Managers also have the ability to decline a war if the reason seems “petty” or not war worth
3. **The Meeting**
   1. If Group Managers deem the war valid, the two groups must meet to discuss the prize/reason/length and war starts exactly 30 minutes after
4. **War**
   1. All server rules/group rules will apply

[Legendary Roleplay Conflict and War System](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Rqodaq-7G5xlkP-KRkzdGO0UnvDLjNJULU2OF9A1R20/edit?tab=t.0)

* Groups will have to wait 2 weeks after their first war to go into a second war. This can be nullified if both groups agree to go to war before the 2 week period up. This does not apply if it is the same two groups consecutively warring each other and must be an unrelated party to the original war.
* When groups two groups are beefing, players make ask themselves what is a valid reason to war. [This document](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Rqodaq-7G5xlkP-KRkzdGO0UnvDLjNJULU2OF9A1R20/edit?tab=t.0) will serve as a guideline for potential scenarios that could be solved via a war, basic fights, or should not beef at all. These are not set in stone reasons to war as the RP around a beef is not something we can limit.

### Alliances

We encourage cooperation and engagements between different groups. However, an alliance system should not be implemented to form a supergroup.

* You are allowed to create an economic alliance, but not a defensive pact. This is to allow a fair and competitive criminal environment where even new groups have a chance to challenge established groups if given enough time and preparation.
* You are not allowed to "buddy up" with other group members to fight or war with other groups/people. This goes for both whitelisted and non-whitelisted groups.

### Vehicles

You are only allowed to have 3 vehicles per group in any car fights, Bikes do not apply in this cap. You may not bring back up cars/steal other cars to use in the car fight

During Car Fights\
There is no direct list of EDM cars that are allowed, the cars not allowed during fights are "common sense" and if you have to ask if its allowed, chances are it isn't. The list of PDM cars for shooting purposes are contained within [this document](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14BdsON4XX3Qa2qgW-TIH29Twm8p9AiFP0azrzvOQ9EI/edit?gid=0#gid=0).

* Do not use a car that does not have a back window or makes the back of the car have a collision (such as, but not limited to, vents)
* Do not use a PDM/Midnight car that has a spoiler/rollcage. This is because PDM/Midnight spoilers/rollcages have collision and staff have deemed it to be powergaming to use these in fights to give yourself an advantage. - EDM Cars should be fine to use as they do not have collision.
* Do not use a car that is bullet proof. This could be a PDM, EDM, or Midnight car.

### Numbers

* When participating in any criminal activity with your group, you are allowed to be a maximum of 6 people (minus raids, then it's 8 max).
* When participating in any criminal activity involving a member from a different group, you are allowed to be a maximum of 6 people.
* When participating in a Prison Transport, the maximum number of people allowed to be involved is 6 (any WL group member can participate, but must remain 6). The person being broken out of the transport does not count towards the number and should not engage in any sort of criminal activity. Their main goal is to flee.
* Criminals may have up to 6 in total participating in the Pacific Standard Bank Heist, no matter if they are whitelisted or not. This only applies to this specific bank.

### Group hopping and rosters

* Group hopping is no longer allowed. You are now limited to a 14-day cooldown when leaving any group and joining another or the same one, regardless of the way you left your previous group (yes, including patch-overs- you can be a hang around but non rostered).
* In regards to this as well, no one is to be added to the roster during a war and if a war is delayed to add a member, they will not be allowed to participate.
* Nobody will be removed from any roster until the group leader has requested for them to be. This is for us to ensure that you leaving the group has been roleplayed out properly, and you're not doing it out of spite or to avoid roleplay with said group. Anyone who does this (sneakily, by leaving the discord and joining back) will be punished.

### Clothing Requests

The asset team will no longer be taking requests for custom group clothing directly. Instead, the asset team will be in direct contact with Group Managers to gather information on the current state of your groups. You will be able to request to have group clothing added in your respective group chats and if the criteria are met, then you may receive custom group clothing. This is not a guarantee that you will receive custom group clothing, it is only to let them know that you would be interested in having something added for your group. The minimum criteria for being considered for custom group clothing is as follows:

1\. Groups must be fully whitelisted.\
2\. Your Group provides quality RP to the community.\
3\. Your Group hasn't received any strikes 30 days before requesting in the group chat.

Following this, if you make or purchase clothing and wish to donate them to the server, then that is appreciated and they are glad to look at them! This being said, however, Legendary Roleplay is under no obligation to add or remove any clothing that has been donated and this should be kept in mind for future donations to our server. It is always good practice to check with Daxter first before paying for something, as she does not want you to waste your money. Please make sure they are roughly around 2 MB in size.

### Gunplay > Roleplay

In every situation, roleplay should be prioritized. While gunplay will always make its way into the criminal underworld, any opportunity to choose a roleplay route will be enforced by staff and expected of all group members. This applies to all PD interactions, civilian interactions, and group interactions. Some examples of this, but not limited to, are:

* Shooting police over a traffic stop
* A group war started over some small-time trash talk
* Kidnapping the proper officers involved in situations you may be involved in, opposed to just kidnapping anyone with the police job (especially those not involved)

There must be quality reasoning to choose gunplay as opposed to another roleplay route if that option is available and individuals/groups may be subject to punishment if found prioritizing gunplay.

### Definitions:
